Dr. Georges Joseph
Dr. Joseph purchased Idicula Medical Associates from Dr. Idicula on July 1, 2023. Dr. Joseph is the president of Idicula Medical Associates. Is an Interventional Cardiologist trained in Valvular and Structural Diseases. Dr. Joseph was born in Haiti and at 14 years old, moved to Fort Myers, FL when his mother passed away. He overcame many obstacles being in a new country with a new language and culture. Dr. Joseph excelled early and began college at 17 years old. He spent the next 15 years studying medicine at various universities. Dr. Joseph was recruited directly from his fellowship program to bring his highly specialized training and expertise to Hernando County. Dr. Joseph says: “I am thrilled to make Hernando County my home and look forward to meeting the cardiovascular needs of the community.”
Gaurav Mathur, MD
Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Mathur received his medical degree from SMS Medical College in Mumbai, India. He completed his residency at several facilites between India, the UK and the US. Dr. Mathur completed his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at Dexel University College in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Mathur specializes in cardiology and has privileges at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital, Bravera Health Brooksville Hospital and Bravera Health Spring Hill Florida..

Completed Internal Medicine Residency at Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, MA. Previously Board Certified with ABIM from 1996-2006. Practiced Primary Care in adult medicine since 1996 in Hernando County, FL
Dr. Laura Shea, DO
Dr. Shea is a family medicine physician. She graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Meadville Medical Center in Meadville, PA.
Rebecca LaBrie, MSN, APRN, AGACNP
Rebecca is a board-certified Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Rebecca has been a member of the nursing profession since 2012 and has an extensive background in the critical care setting. Since becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she has focused her practice into Cardiology. She is a Florida native and prides herself in providing high quality patient centered care to the residents in her hometown community. Rebecca is a wife and mother to two children that keep her busy. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, boating, fishing, hiking, and traveling. Rebecca joined our practice in January 2024.
Michelle Thomsen, PA-C
Received her Bachelors in Biology from UCLA, then went on to receive Masters of Science, Physician Assistant from SUNY Stony Brook. She is nationally certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Michelle worked at Montefiore Medical Center (Bronx, New York) for 8 years in the fields of Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiology prior to joining the team at Idicula Medical Associates in 2020. Michelle believes an evidence-based approach to cardiology, while recognizing the interconnectedness of all systems, mental and physical, for optimal wellbeing. When not at work she has a passion for travelling the world to experience natural wonders, other cultures, and delicious food.
Doug Pawling, ARNP
A certified Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Mr. Pawling has more than five years of nursing experiences caring for a diverse patient population. Most of Doug’s RN experience was on cardiac telemetry. Doug holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing from The University of Tampa and is national certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Doug specializes in managing chronic disease such as hypertension, diabetes and COPD. Doug believes the healthcare is a two way street and works with his patients to help them achieve health
related goals. Doug provides primary care for adolescents and adults. Health literacy is a big problem and Doug feels that patients can only make good health related decisions if they are properly informed.
Jane Block, ARNP
Jane Block is a seasoned Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with 18 years experience, and 30 years of hospital experience. She graduated from Maryville University with her BSN from her home town of St Louis, Missouri.
After moving to Spring Hill, Florida, and working as a RN in telemetry, and then ICU, she knew she had more to contribute and received her Masters at University of Tampa, all the while working in her field. She is passionate about providing quality patient care, and taking the time to listen to her patients concerns.
She has worked at ldicula Medical Associates as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner for almost 1 o years, and has built a busy practice over the years. Jane’s key focus is on health and wellness, with an emphasis on exercise, healthy food choices, in conjunction with Primary care, and prevention
Stephanie Sullivan, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Stephanie is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s degree in Nursing from Simmons University. She has been with our practice since graduating as a Nurse Practitioner in 2022. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Stephanie has extensive experience as a board- certified Cardiac Vascular RN at Oak Hill Hospital and in Texas on a specialized cardiac unit.
Denise Raychok, ACNP-BC
Board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with 15 years of experience in cardiac care. She provides exceptional care at TGH Spring Hill and TGH Brooksville hospitals, treating every patient with the same compassion and dedication she would extend to her own family. Denise combines her extensive knowledge with genuine empathy to ensure the best possible care for you and your loved ones during your hospital stay. Callie Blanco
Callie is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who earned her Master of Science in Nursing from South University. She maintains certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has over 22 years of experience in nursing, including 7 years as a Nurse Practitioner in cardiology. Throughout her career, she has prioritized compassionate patient care, built strong relationships, and stayed at the forefront of medical advancements.

Family Nurse Practitioner specialized in Cardiology. I joined the practice in Prior to working in the office I worked in the intensive care unit , cardiovascular intensive care unit and emergency department. I see all the practice patients when they go to the hospital to help provide a continuity of care. I enjoy seeing my patients get better in the hospital and being able to go home and continue to follow up with their care outpatient in our practice. I believe that all patients should be treated like family and try to provide the best care possible. Dr. Joseph Idicula
Founder of Idicula Medical Associates as a leading Cardiologist in Hernando County since 1991 and won many awards for his ground breaking work.
Dr. Idicula passed from this life on February 17, 2024.
Affectionately known as “Dr. Joe”, he provided compassionate care to every patient. He mentored many aspiring professionals and inspired his associates. He is missed by his loyal staff.

Dr. Agnes retired from practice in 2021 and after Dr. Joe’s passing, now lives in Boston with her daughters and grandchildren.
